Billie Jo Oldroyd

Owner

I started BEcon because I saw a need for all homeowners and parents with small children to have access to professionals able to assist them in identifying lead-based paint in there home and consulting with them to mitigate any hazards associated.

With 15 years as a Licensed Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor, I have extensive experience in various settings including working with housing authorities that work under the guidelines from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to identify and remediate lead-based paint hazards within target housing where children under 6 years old reside and working directly with homeowners and famiies concerned about lead-based paint.

Before focusing on Lead-Based Paint, I worked for over 15 years in the environmental field concerning asbestos, mold, radioactive materials and other hazardous materials.

I have an Associates degree in Environmental Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies.

I am licensed as a Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
